Napoli sports director Pierpaolo Marino is launching a bid for Lanus winger Diego Valeri.
Marino is set to make a personal check on Valeri in action for Argentina U23 and is confident of talking down Lanus' asking price from £5 million to £3.5 million, says Il Mattino.
Valeri carries an EU passport and is rated highly by Napoli coach Edy Reja.
