Napoli chief Riccardo Bigon admits a permanent deal for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina is unlikely.

Reina has stated he won't play again for his parent club, but rather than stay in Naples, the Spaniard is expected to sign for Barcelona.

Bigon remarked: "In life you can re-examine everything, but to date Reina is a player of Liverpool.

"It's too early to talk about it.

"At the end of the season he will return to Liverpool."
