Napoli are tracking West Bromwich Albion fullback Sebastien Pocognoli.
The Belgian only moved to the Hawthorns in the summer, but is a January target for Napoli.
They will lose Faouzi Ghoulam in January for the African Cup of Nations.
It's rumoured Napoli scouts already viewed 27-year-old Pocognoli and feel they can sign him for under 2m.
