Napoli are chasing Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry. The Mirror says Barry only has 12 months left on his contract and is now considering his future, following the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini.

Barry has the chance to switch to Italy to join Serie A side Napoli.

Rafa Benitez, their new coach, tried to sign Barry for Liverpool from Aston Villa in 2008 and is a big admirer of the left-footed ace.
