Watford face competition for IFK Gothenburg goalkeeper Pontus Dahlberg.

The Hornets have been pushing to close the teenager's signing for several months.

However, GT says there is now a risk of losing Dahlberg to Italian giants Napoli.

Napoli are willing to buy Dahlberg in January and loan him back to IFK for the remainder of the season. However, Watford remain confident - particularly after his agent cooled the Azzurri reports.

Earlier this season, asked about Premier League rumours, Dahlberg stated: "I'll have to hear from my agent."

Asked about a specific league, he added: "It's not something I'm thinking about right now, but I'll have to think about it when it's time.

"Right now I have a full focus on IFK."
