Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has confirmed interest in Pescara midfielder Marco Verratti.

Mazzarri, who also committed his future to the club during the interview, confirmed the outfit's interest in Verratti of Pescara.

"I don't know what the player thinks of it, but I know that President Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Riccardo Bigon are trying to sign him," he said.

"Saying that, another year at Pescara would be good for the player. He's a very good element, but he is still very young."
