Napoli boss Roberto Donadoni has told fans not to expect a top four challenge next season.

The former Italy coach said: "We are realistic and would like public opinion and the fans to adopt that attitude, too. The club wants to build a serious project without fantasy situations and pointless decoration.

"We are working with responsibility to improve our squad and do what we need to with collaboration from everyone, including the fans.

"Those who truly love Napoli should avoid letting their imaginations run away with them."
