Napoli ace Cavani cools title talk after victory over Roma

Napoli's two-goal hero Edinson Cavani has played down their title chances after victory over AS Roma.

Cavani scored a contentious penalty and a late volley to give Napoli their first victory away to Roma since 1993.

"It is a sign that the team is united and wants to challenge for something important," the Uruguayan told Sky Sport Italia.

"We work day after day to prepare for these games and deserved the victory this evening.

"As for the Scudetto, we are not thinking about that. We're very happy carrying on as we are and must continue along this path."

Cavani had a special dedication and explained his curious golf mime celebration.

"The golf reference was to thank a friend of mine who had given me a present. I dedicate these goals to my mother, as it is her birthday today."
