Nantes striker Filip Djordjevic fluffed his lines in front of Hull City boss Steve Bruce this week.
The Mirror says Bruce flew out to watch top target Filip Djordjevic in action on Monday night.
Bruce is keen to land a new striker for the Tigers in the January window and ran the rule over the big Nantes forward in their game against Valenciennes.
He didn't see Djordjevic score though - the 26-year-old missed a penalty as Nantes won, 2-1. He is also wanted by West Ham United.
