Manchester United will be patiently awaiting X-ray results for Angel Di Maria after he was injured on international duty on Tuesday night.
The star winger received a knock from United teammate Nani (currently on loan at Sporting Lisbon) in Argentina's 1-0 friendly loss to Portugal at Old Trafford which prompted his national team doctors to send him for precautionary scans.
However, Argentina boss Gerardo Martino suggests Di Maria's problem is not too serious which could be a sigh of relief for United who already have an ever-growing injury list.
"We don't think it's anything serious. It was quite a hard blow he took and it was a hard knock. It cut the skin a little bit," he said.
"We've had a look at it and we are evaluating the situation. We are having a look at some X-rays, some images, that have been taken. But in spite of that, we don't think it's too serious."
