Nani risks new row with Man Utd boss Ferguson

Manchester United crock Nani has risked a new row with manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Daily Express says Nani has invited the wrath of his manager by refusing to return to Manchester United from South Africa despite being ruled out of the World Cup.

Portugal winger Nani, 23, was sidelined after a training-ground accident in Lisbon.

It is understood he fell heavily on his left shoulder after trying a spectacular overhead kick as Carlos Queiroz's men prepared for the finals, damaging his collarbone.

Ferguson is keen for him to return to Old Trafford to be assessed by United's medical staff and undergo treatment. His main concern is getting Nani fit for the start of the new Premier League season in August but Queiroz, Ferguson's former No2 at Old Trafford, has invited Nani to remain with the squad.
