Nani crock hands Obertan fresh Man Utd chance

Gabriel Obertan is in line for a new chance to prove his worth at Manchester United.

Nani's gashed shin - courtesy of LiverpoolJamie Carragher's studs-up lunge at the weekend - could also give Obertan the chance to finally make his mark at United.

The former Bordeaux man has started only 13 games since making a £3m switch to Old Trafford in July 2009.

But he could be involved against the Gunners and will be desperate to show he has a future with the league leaders.

Obertan, 22, reveals he has used his time on the sidelines constructively. He said: "I hope to become a real Manchester United player but the most important thing is to keep working hard.

"I try to learn from players like Ryan Giggs and Nani.

"Playing alongside players like them is very important.

"It may take a while but I'm going to keep working hard. I'm focused on doing my best for the club and then we'll see.

"Hopefully I'll get some time on the pitch to show what I can do."
