Rangers stars Steven Naismith, Allan McGregor, Steve Davis and Steven Whittaker have both taken 75% pay cuts in a bid to help the club.
The Glasgow giants will need to drastically cut costs if they are to remain operational and get out of administration and the first step is to decrease staff salaries dramatically.
The key four were the first players to agree to wage cuts with injured forward Naismith saying action needs to be take for the good of the club.
"Everyone is trying to reach a good conclusion and get the best for the club, there are a lot of innocent people here who just want to get on with their lives and get a job at the end of the day.""We have done all we can to find a solution, there are a lot of Rangers fans in the squad and we just want to get this fixed so hopefully a deal will get done and the players will do it," Naismith told Sky Sports News.
