Nagoya Grampus striker Josh Kennedy admits there was an element of luck in his goal that sent his club through to the Asian Champions League semi-finals. The Australian international netted an 88th minute goal to sink J-League rivals Kawasaki Frontale who won the first leg 2-1 at home last week.

But Grampus hit back from the first leg defeat, winning 3-1 at home and 4-3 on aggregate thanks to Kennedy's seventh goal in 11 outings with his new club.

Kennedy was delighted to have scored the winner but also indicated that he was very lucky.

"I was just in the right place at the right time," Kennedy admitted.

"It was a very dramatic finish with a couple of minutes to go and the winning goal was the perfect way to end the game tonight."
