Nagoya Grampus maintain eight-point lead in J-League

Nagoya Grampus managed a 2-1 win over Omiya Ardija to keep their eight-point lead over the rest of the J-League.

Igor Burzanovic and Takahiro Masukawa did the damage for the home side who maintained their break as second-placed Kashima Antlers also won 2-1 after coming from behind at Kawasaki Frontale.

With four matches left in the 2010 season, Nagoya are in a strong position to take out the title, especially as they take on bottom-placed Shonan Bellmare next weekend.

Elsewhere in Japan, Urawa Reds won 2-0 at home against Kyoto Sanga, FC Tokyo defeated Yokohama F. Marinos 2-1 thanks to a Sota Hirayama double, Shinji Okazaki scored twice as Shimizu S-Pulse smashed Shonan 5-0, Vegalta Sendai beat Jubilo Iwata 3-0, Cerezo Osaka netted two late goals to force a 3-3 draw at Montedio Yamagata, Albirex Niigata and Vissel Kobe drew 1-1 as Gamba Osaka won 2-0 at home over Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
