Nagoya Grampus striker Josh Kennedy has finished equal top of the J-League's goalscoring table after scoring on the final day of the season.
Kennedy capped a stellar season at club level when he scored in the 22nd minute of the Japanese champions' 2-1 win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima to notch up his 17th goal in his 31st appearance in 2010.
The victory allowed Nagoya to finish 10 points clear of Gamba Osaka at the top of the table, taking out their first Division 1 title.
Joining Kennedy on 17 goals was Jubilo Iwata's Ryoichi Maeda who netted in his side's 6-2 loss to Cerezo Osaka. Maeda made it 3-2 in the 56th minute but Jubilo were no match for Cerezo's Adriano who hit the back of the net four times to send his side to a third-placed finish.
In other final J-League matches of the 2010 season, Albirex Niigata sent Shonan Bellmare down to Division 2 with a 3-1 home win, whilst Vissel Kobe avoided relegation with a 4-0 away win over Urawa Reds.
Vissel's win consigned FC Tokyo to the second tier as they lost 2-0 at Kyoto Sanga as Omiya Ardija won 2-0 at Yokohama Marinos.
Vegalta Sendai and Kawasaki Frontale drew 1-1, as did Montedio Yamagata and Kashima Antlers, whilst Gamba Osaka won 3-0 away from home at Shimizu S-Pulse.
