Nagoya Grampus are still holding onto hopes of qualifying for the Asian Champions League semi-finals. The J-League club meet rivals Kawasaki Frontale in the quarter-final second leg at home tonight and despite being down 2-1, have an enormous chance to move to the nest stage thanks to Australian striker Josh Kennedy's vital away goal last week.
"We have not had a good record against Kawasaki Frontale for the past few years so we want to stop this tradition tomorrow (Wednesday)," Grampus coach Dragan Stojkovic said.
"In our last game against the champions Kashima Antlers, we showed very high quality of play and good mentality - everything the team needs.
"This result and this performance give us the right to believe that Kawasaki Frontale are not unbeatable and we have the quality to win and we are looking forward to that.
"A goal will give us the opportunity (to progress) and I strongly believe that we can find a way to score a goal and win to qualify for last four."
