Nagoya Grampus gun down Jets in Newcastle

Nagoya Grampus recorded a vital away victory in the Asian Champions League with a 1-0 result over Newcastle Jets. The Japanese club remain unbeaten in the group stage of the competition but it could have been a different story if it wasn't for goalkeeper Seigo Narazaki who saved a Sasho Petrovski penalty in the 77th minute.

Yoshizumi Ogawa scored the only goal of the contest in the 57th minute, finishing a cross from Keita Sugimoto after the ball had ricocheted off referee Ali Saif Al Badwawi's heels.

When the Jets went down they picked up their game and began pushing numbers forward in search of an equaliser but the Nagoya defence held firm and eventually managed to pick up three points away from home.
