Nagatomo on target but Inter held by Chievo

Yuto Nagatomo scored for Inter Milan in their 1-1 draw with Chievo Verona on Monday night.

The Japan international sidefooted home Ricky Alvarez's low cross in the 12th minute to pull the Nerazzurri level just four minutes after Alberto Paloschi had put the Gialloblu ahead with a fine effort.

Nagatomo almost had Inter 2-1 up at the San Siro when he fired home two minutes after his leveller but the goal was harshly disallowed for offside.

The goal was the Asian winger's fifth of the Serie A campaign and helped send Inter fifth on the table, five points in arrears of fourth-placed Fiorentina, and 20 off runaway leaders Juventus.
