Mehdi Nafti was happy to make his first start for Birmingham City this season in their 0-0 draw at Liverpool.
"I feel OK," he said. "It is different when you play regularly to when you are in and out, playing one game and not the next. And in the Premier League as well, I enjoy it.
"I try to do my best. The competition we have this season is big. When you think that on Saturday morning we left behind 12 first team players to train, that tells you a lot. You need to perform to stay in the team. You need to help get wins.
"That is another target you have, and I think it makes the team as a whole better."
