NAC chief Smulders asks Man City for striker; could take Birighitti

NAC Breda chief Hans Smulders admits they've asked Manchester City for a striker.

NAC enjoy a close relationship with City and Smulders admits they've asked about an attacking loan signing.

"We have indicated our wish to City, but nothing is possible in this position. Then we will look for ourselves, we can now be happy," said Smulders.

However, a new keeper could be tapped from the City club network. After losing Aro Muric back to City, NAC could replace him with Melbourne City keeper Mark Birighitti.

"We can still do that, it is not yet August 31, you never know," added Smulders.
