Steven N'Zonzi has asked Blackburn Rovers for a transfer according to manager Steve Kean.
The highly-rated 23-year old midfielder is keen to depart Ewood Park despite signing a five-year deal in 2010 with Kean revealing why the Frenchman not on the pre-season tour of Austria.
"He's asked for a transfer, hence why he never went to Austria," said Kean.
"He doesn't want to play for the club any longer. I've had meetings with his father and he wants to play elsewhere.
"We'll be listening to offers but as it stands he remains under contract and we haven't had any offers at all."
