Myhill looking to prove himself as West Brom no.1

Boaz Myhill is determined to become West Bromwich Albion's first-choice goalkeeper now he has been given a chance.

The 30-year old Wales international is the Baggies number one glvoeman at present following a foot injury sustained by Ben Foster and he admits he is desperate to prove himself to manager Steve Clarke over the next couple of months.

"Obviously every club wants new players," Myhill told The Birmingham Mail.

"We as a group will always welcome good players. Of course, everybody wants to play every week. "It's not been possible for me. I hope the manager will show faith in me.

"I hope I can do myself justice [if I get the chance to play]."

Myhill replaced Foster in Albion's 2-0 loss to Swansea City in their last league outing and is expected to take the gloves for this Saturday's trip to Fulham.
