Myhill was also pleased for Stephane Sessegnon, who also struck in the 2-2 draw.
"I'm delighted for Shane because he's had a little bit of an emotional rollercoaster after the last transfer window," Myhill told the WBA website.
"He's got his head down and worked really hard and people get what they deserve in life.
"Sessegnon has been fairly predictable since he's been here - you give him the ball and he does good things with it.
"It's a great signing for the club, so fair play to the head coach and Richard [Garlick] because they've got together and got a great player in the building."
