Robbie Keane says he is not about to follow in the footsteps of former LA Galaxy teammate David Beckham and become Major League Soccer's next pin-up boy.
The 32-year old Irish striker has become the Galaxy's biggest name now after Beckham departed for Paris Saint-Germain following a successful six-year stint at the Californian club but Keane insists he won't be joining the Englishman up there on billboards and in magazines.
"I don't think I'm ever going to be an MLS pin-up," he told the Irish Sun.
"With my Irish skin, I don't think so. People might get a fright at how white I am.
"Like David, I've got a few tattoos but not that many. I don't think anyone has as many as he does."
Regarding Beckham's absence, he added: "It will feel strange without but we knew he was going anyway. We've known for a while now.
"For me, I always look forward to getting back into the swing of things. I'm looking forward to really getting into training with the lads. For me, it's been a long break."
