Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that missing the Rotterdam derby against Feyenoord was one of the the biggest disappointments of his playing career.
The Dutch manager was talking about his selection headaches ahead of the FA Cup final when he revealed his woe while playing for Sparta Rotterdam.
When asked if he ever felt disappointed after missing a game during his playing days, he said: "I have one experience that I didn't play against Feyenoord, but not in a cup match.
"It was an ordinary match, but it was a derby with Sparta Rotterdam. That was a big blow for me."
