Mutual appreciation between Spurs chairman Levy and Southampton's Pochettino

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is weighing up an approach to Southampton for manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Daily Mail says Levy is keeping his options open about the managerial position at Tottenham as Tim Sherwood fights for the job long-term.

Levy has been seduced by the prospect of bringing in Holland coach Louis van Gaal or Pochettino.

Van Gaal has already met Levy about the job. The 62-year-old will be available after this summer's World Cup in Brazil. Argentine Pochettino is also interested but his contract at Southampton is so watertight that it will be difficult to poach him from St Mary's.
