Mutu lodges appeal against massive Chelsea compensation
Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu has formally lodged an appeal against a ruling made by the Court of Arbitration for Sport ordering him to pay Chelsea £13.8m in compensation.
Chelsea sacked the Romania international striker after he failed a drugs test in 2004 and the Blues pursued him through the courts.
Mutu has now presented his appeal to a Swiss Federal Tribunal in an attempt to overturn the decision.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the terms of the appeal will be made public on Tuesday.

He's doing everything he can to avoid the consequences of his actions. Nothing but a low life druggie! Only last week he was trying to weedle his way out of it by offering to make a contribution to 3 charities in lieu of the fine..... MAKE HIM PAY THE LOT!!! Send a message to drug users in the sport!
