The agent of Adrian Mutu has cooled talk of a move to Roma for the Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu.

"Mutu will certainly play a part for Fiorentina," agent Alessandro Moggi said on Radio Kiss Kiss. "For one thing the player has declared it himself.

"The Viola have proposed a contract extension at an improved salary and we appreciated that effort, which the player will review carefully when he gets back from holiday.

"Fiorentina know that Mutu is an important player and he has shown a real attachment to the shirt.

"I also want to make clear that there has been no offer from Roma, just as there hasn't been an approach from any other team."
