Landon Donovan has labelled the next three games as must-wins for the LA Galaxy.
The reigning back-to-back MLS champions have fallen to fourth spot on the Western conference table, which sees them seventh on the overall MLS standings, with just four regular season matches to go.
Following the weekend's 1-0 defeat at Portland Timbers, Donovan says the Galaxy need to win their remaining games - particularly three in a row at the StubHub Center - as they look to clinch the 2013 Supporters' Shield.
"We have three games in a row now at home, and realistically to put ourselves in good position, we need to win all three," Donovan told reporters in Portland.
"We feel like we can win all three, we should win all three, but we can't keep giving up goals like we did today.
"As the season gets toward the end and get tighter, those are the plays that matter. And we have to make sure we're on the positive end of those, not the negative end."
The Galaxy next take on Chivas USA at home next weekend before fixtures against Montreal Impact (home), San Jose Earthquakes (home) and Seattle Soudners (away).
