​Music to Chelsea ears

Chelsea have announced a new and exclusive partnership with entertainment giant Sony Music, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The deal will see the two parties use their respective rosters of soccer players and music artists to create and produce innovative content for the Premier League side's fanbase.

To celebrate the launch of the partnership, Chelsea have released a Sony Music playlist which has been put together using input from the club's players. The financial terms and length of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Chris Townsend, Chelsea's commercial director, said: "We are incredibly excited to join forces with Sony Music, one of the leading entertainment companies in the world. Combining some of the world's most celebrated music artists and football stars will create innovative content and experiences for our global fanbase, starting with an exciting competition for fans of football and music all over the world."

Dusko Justic, vice president of international marketing for Sony Music International, added: "Both football and music are fuelled by passionate fans. That emotional pull makes the connection so satisfying. We want to combine the two and elevate the experience to new heights.
