Melbourne Victory players have received four red cards in the last five matches, a statistic that captain Kevin Muscat is not thrilled to have. Ahead of the all-important Sydney FC clash at the Telstra Dome on Saturday night, Muscat knows that he needs eleven men on the pitch and said the club is working on the current problem. Speaking to the Herald Sun, Muscat said, "It's far from ideal. "I'm disappointed, we're disappointed. It's one of those things where you can put a defence forward for near enough all the cases, but there's no point. "We understand the rules and regulations and they've been clamping down on a number of things. "We've addressed it. The boss has addressed it. The players aren't happy. The boys that are suspended are disappointed. As a playing group we're all disappointed." In the four matches where the Victory have finished with ten men, they lost twice and drew once as opposed to the matches where they have lasted with eleven players, they have won three and drawn once. These are damming statistics that show you need a full compliment of contributors to win matches in the A-League and Muscat knows the players need to remain in the game to give the Victory every chance. "So it's up to ourselves to make sure we're doing the right things for long enough and keep players on the park," he added.
