Captain Graham Murty is targeting a cleansheet for Reading at Aston Villa today.
Steve Coppell's side have not registered a shut-out on their Premier League travels since their 0-0 opening-day draw at Manchester United.
Right-back Murty said: "The person I feel sorry for the most is Marcus (Hahnemann).
"He has been exceptional but is not getting the plaudits he deserves because of the amount of goals we are conceding.
"We all really want a clean sheet for him because he deserves it more than anyone.
"It is something we have been working on as a team and not just as a back four."
