Murray thoroughly deserves first Premier League goal - Palace's Ince

Crystal Palace winger Tom Ince was full of praise for Glenn Murray after scored his first Premier League goal of his career on the weekend.

The 30-year old striker converted from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute to allow the Eagles to record a 1-1 draw with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday after missing the past nine months with a knee injury.

After the match, Blackpool loanee Ince was happy to see his more experienced teammate contribute to a draw which saw Palace move three points clear of the drop zone.

"There's no other lad that deserves it more than him, for what he's done for this club, doing so well in the play-offs at Wembley and getting them to where they are," Ince told Sky Sports.

"He's had a bit of a rough time over the last year; he's not really back to full fitness. For him to score his first goal, we're over the moon for him. And we're going to need him to get some goals.

"We've got a good strikeforce - (Marouane) Chamakh, Cameron Jerome and Glenn Murray - so we've got options up there. It's great for Glenn. Hopefully he can continue that now."
