Paul Murray's Blue Knights consortium have confirmed that it has lodged its final bid to take over Rangers.
The former Ibrox director and his group have joined forces with Ticketus to submit their 'best and final' offer for the Glasgow giants ahead of today's 5pm BST deadline.
"The Blue Knights Consortium, led by Paul Murray and supported by fans' representatives (from the Rangers Supporters Assembly, the Rangers Supporters Association and the Rangers Supporters Trust) and Ticketus, confirms that it has this morning submitted its best and final bid for the acquisition of Rangers Football Club ahead of today's deadline, as requested by the administrators," read a statement from Ticketus.
Administrators Duff & Phelps are expecting around five bids from various parties to purchase majority shareholdings from discredited Rangers chairman Craig Whyte with all bids to be submitted by close of business today.
