Murphy wants Fulham manager job

Fulham skipper Danny Murphy wants the manager's job.

The Daily Mail says Murphy has told Fulham he wants to be their new manager.

The club captain, 34, is highly regarded by the Craven Cottage hierarchy but Martin Jol appears most likely to replace Mark Hughes, who quit last week.

Jol was offered the job ahead of Hughes last summer before deciding to stay at Ajax.
