Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy feels his old club is struggling without Luis Suarez.
Murphy admits the sale of Suarez to Barcelona and the recent injury picked up by Daniel Sturridge has hit the team hard.
He told the Daily Star: "In Luis Suarez they have lost one of the best players in the world and that's hard to replace.
"Daniel Sturridge got injured as well and that's an additional blow.
"So they have lost their two most accomplished players but they made a lot of changes over the summer.
"They are trying to tweak their tactics and find the right balance. It's just going to take a little time.
"Last season they got better and better and I think Brendan has brought them forward in a short space of time."
