David Murphy was delighted to make his Birmingham City debut in their 1-1 draw with Derby County.

The former Hibs full-back put in a man-of-the-match display on his return to the Premiership and told the Daily Record: "It's great to be back in the Premiership. It's where I want to play and I'm delighted to have joined Birmingham.

"It was good to get the first game under my belt and there is a lot more to come from me before the end of the season.

"I haven't played for five weeks so I was quite pleased with my fitness but disappointed we couldn't get the points.

"It feels more like a defeat after conceding such a late goal.

"We're under pressure after dropping into the bottom three but we'll keep training hard and hopefully our luck will change."
