Fulham skipper Danny Murphy insists their poor start to the season is due to bad luck.
Martin Jol's side have two draws and two defeats in the league so far this season and face Chelsea in their next fixture after City.
But midfielder Murphy added: "We've got an experienced squad and we won't panic. The fixture list hasn't been kind, because we've got City on Sunday when them and United are in such sizzling form.
"I don't want to get the violin out but we seem to be getting punished a lot recently. But that's football at this level against good opposition."
