Former England star Danny Murphy was all praise for Raheem Sterling after last night's round of 16 win over Colombia.
The Three Lions was their first ever World Cup penalty shootout, booking a quarterfinal meeting with Sweden.
"I thought Raheem Sterling had his best game in an England shirt against Colombia," Murphy wrote in the Evening Standard.
"He was trying to get on the ball, he was strong and he was making runs in behind. Yes, he did not score but actually his all-round game was as good as I have seen.
"He looked sharp, hungry and was a real threat. I have criticised him but his performance was superb."
