Murdocca confident Roar can continue winning ways

After winning their first game of the season last week, the Queensland Roar believes more wins are on the cards and they only have to look round the corner. Those are the sentiments of midfielder Massimo Murdocca ahead of tomorrow night's big clash with reigning premiers the Newcastle Jets. The Jets were the team that ended the Roars season last year, winning an epic 3-2 extra time Preliminary final and many would be expecting the Queenslanders to come out firing to avenge that loss. However, Murdocca is living in the now and doesn't want to think about past performances. He said, "I don't know how the other boys feel but really it's just another game. Last year's forgotten, it was just bad luck and things don't go your way sometimes. "They had a good year and congratulations to them. This year's a new year and we'll get a good win tomorrow." This newly discovered confidence comes on the back of a 3-0 away win in Perth which was a fantastic turn around on the match before when they let in four goals against Central Coast when playing at home. Last week, coach Frank Farina was buoyant about his team's chances of recovering and the players did not let him down in what may be seen as a season changing performance. The Roar meets the Newcastle Jets at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night to kick off Round 5 of A-League action.
