Sulley Muntari is confident his partnership with Lassana Diarra can be successful for Portsmouth.
The Ghana midfielder told The News: "I like the way Lassana plays, I'm really glad he's here. I know him from playing for his national team and playing for Chelsea and Arsenal.
"He didn't play a lot but he's a very good player. He likes winning balls from people. He's strong and he works and works, which is what I like. I like my colleagues giving themselves to the team, giving their everything to help to win.
"He does that, which is what you want. One player cannot do the job of 10, everyone must contribute, and now we definitely have another to carry the workload. He's a good footballer and he is proving it.
"I know we can definitely work well together and help this team."
