The mother of Cristiano Ronaldo has denied she wanted to see her son return to Manchester United this summer.

The former Real Madrid star was unveiled by Juventus yesterday after completing a €112m move from the LaLiga.

And Dolores Aveiro has denied talking up a return to United, insisting: "It's a lie that I wanted him back at United, it's not true."

However in May, Aveiro said something different on SFR Sport.

"I love Paris every time I come to France everybody treats me very well.. To tell you the truth, I would not mind it, but I would prefer that he return to Manchester," said Aveiro when discussing PSG's interest in Ronaldo.
