The mother of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo says he should be fit for the second-leg of their Champions League semifinal against Manchester City.
Dolores Aveiro, Ronaldo's mother, spoke at the release of her autobiography entitled 'A mother's courage', written by Paulo Sousa.
Ronaldo is carrying a hamstring injury.
"He's fine, he's not at one hundred percent, but he's at about 80. I think he'll be back next week," said Aveiro.
Aveiro also spoke about he son's insatiable desire to play every single game: "He's someone who always wants more, and it's very hard to say no to him, he's strong-willed. He's always working, he always wants more, he's a chip off the old block! His future? He's happy here, he wants to finish his career at Real Madrid."
Aveiro also went into her reasons for releasing this book: "It was a family decision, I didn't make it alone. It was difficult because the whole world knows Cristiano. He didn't like it that everyone was going to learn about his mother's suffering, but he understands that it's something that can help other women.
"I wanted to tell this story so that women will think twice before aborting. I thought about having an abortion because I had three kids to raise, it was a very difficult situation in the house. This book isn't about improving Cristiano's image. He's a bit proud, but he's a great friend to his friends. He does everything for his family and friends."
