Mum: Chelsea's Terry determined to win Champions League

John Terry's Mum has revealed how the Chelsea captain is convinced he will get another chance to win the Champions League.

Speaking from her home in Grays, Essex, Sue, who was close to tears told the People: "We're heading to the States next weekend to try and forget all about the last week and move on. It's been an awful week.

"What's next for John? Just the holiday and then we'll think about it.

"I know John is banking on the holiday to help him move on."

Jetting off to America along with John will be his partner Toni Poole, their twin children, Sue and her partner, and John's brother, the Leyton Orient midfielder, Paul.

Sue revealed: "The whole family are absolutely gutted.

"We were all out there praying that John was going to finally lift the Champions League trophy that he's always dreamed about. Sadly, it just wasn't to be.

"We were staying at the same hotel in Moscow. When I saw John he was devastated and I just hugged him.

"He was crying a lot, but who can blame him? I'm so proud of him."
