Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller says Cristiano Ronaldo winning the Ballon d'Or would be "boring". Muller believes the whole vote is a farce with perennial favourites Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi taking the place of others he believes would be more worthy, and not only teammate Manuel Neuer.
"He is world champion and has also been in sensational form, but there is also Arjen Robben who was fantastic, for example," Muller said.
"There were a few other players in the Germany squad who would have deserved it too.
"I've already given my opinion - it's a nice event, but these individual titles are not so important to me.
"I see myself as a team player, which is why these votes don't count much for me."
He added: "If it were to happen that Cristiano Ronaldo wins, then it would be almost boring."
