Muller confident Man City, Liverpool target Robben will stick with Bayern Munich

Thomas Muller is confident Arjen Robben will not quit Bayern Munich.

Robben's comments about not wanting to play in the Europa League have alerted Manchester City and Liverpool - both in the market for a new wing signing.

Asked whether failure to qualify for Champions League football would result in the exit of the club's key players, Muller told spox.com: "I don't think so.

"I do not think, even if this horror scenario takes place, much will be changed.

"I do not see any intentions to leave the club with regard to someone like Arjen Robben.

"He is aware of the size of Bayern Munich, he likes being around. He does not seem ready to want to work himself up into a first-team elsewhere.

"I do not think any player with a good chance to play first-team football at the Allianz Arena actually has any plans to leave the club."

"We have players on long-term deals, these players are the framework of the squad. The team is working well, even in a crisis like this one."
