Charlie Mulgrew suggests Celtic are not looking to finish third in the UEFA Champions League.
The Hoops currently find themselves bottom of Group H but all that can change if they produce a win over AC Milan at Celtic Park on Tuesday night and if Barcelona can avoid defeat to Ajax in Amsterdam.
Finishing in third place when the group stage concludes would see Celtic drop into the Europa League while fourth place would end their European adventure for this season but Mulgrew insists that neither of those spots are in the plans of the Scottish champions.
"Our focus is qualifying from the group and it's still possible, but tomorrow night is a must-win. We'll start with [that attitude] tomorrow and you never know," said the versatile Scotland international.
"You look to qualify for the next round of the Champions League. You can't say 'let's try and get third so we can play in the Europa League' ? that's not how football works.
"We want to finish second and go as far as we can in this competition. It's fine to play in the Europa League as well, but it's not guaranteed either, so you have to go as far as you can in this competition."
