Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee has revealed Charlie Mulgrew had been offered a new long-term deal. Full-back Mulgrew, 26, is out of contract at the end of the season but McGhee is determined to ensure the dead-ball specialist remains at Pittodrie.

He said in the Evening Express: "We have made a formal contract offer to Charlie Mulgrew and hopefully he will accept it."
