Celtic star Charlie Mulgrew has expressed his intentions to stay with the club.

Mulgrew is out of contract with the Hoops at the end of the season but is confident of signing a new contract with the Glasgow giants.

The 29-year-old Scotland international said: "My agent's in contact with the club, and I'm just waiting to hear.

"I'll play it by ear. I'm happy here. Staying with Celtic is my first choice."

The Scottish international has made over 190 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops since joining from Aberdeen in 2010.
